this post is about makin’ babies

I’m signed up for just about every mailing list out there, Depend, Poise (bottom of main page) Goodnites, Pampers, Huggies Pull-Ups, Tena, and a few others. It’s usually pretty boring stuff, but sometimes there’s nice bonuses, like this link I received today from Luvs. Here’s mine, share your baby to my E-mail and I’ll make a gallery of all my readers babies! More stuff sooooon!

not angry yet

I just uploaded a few new videos onto my Youtube and all the normal drama has ensued. I have no access to my youtube account, so if you sent me a message, don’t expect a reply back, just E-mail me – protectionblog at gmail.com. This video was flagged down by some people that probably think I’m a depraved pedophile.

The creepiest youtube thing that has happened is I uploaded a video I shot and edited onto my channel privately because I wanted to have the other person take a look at it before I posted it. The video has zero views and I get a terms of use violation. I kinda freak out because I was afraid that someone watched it, but the violation was because of copyright. When the video was made Belle and Sebastian was playing in the other room, and youtube somehow identified that as a violation of Warner Brothers Records.

So heres the songs free of charge, I figure if they’re going to shut down my youtube because I like to listen to brit-folk when I’m being diapered, they can basically go die. F the RIAA, and Enjoy!

BSMyWanderingDaysAreOver.mp3

P.S. – I do want to point out that youtube is hands-down the best video site out there, no other site has as little restrictions for encoding and file size. Xtube is 50megs, Yahoo is 150, Youtube is 1 Gig. Youtube also allows you to change the pre-play picture, and the one on this video is horrible so you get a link not an Embed.

you asked for it, you got it

I’m soaked right now… just soaked.

Bambino Diapers is one the only sources (besides ABUniverse and a few cloth diaper places) to get diapers made specifically for the adult baby. this is a little video to let the daddys/mommys out there to diapers their subs with a bambino, as well as the little ones who have to diaper themselves. I hope you enjoy, diaper review coming ASAP!

4 hours later…

P.S. after I did the video, I took a little nap while it was rendering and when I woke up my diaper was totally soaked. The important thing is, I put on that pull-up right before the video, and didn’t even cut into it so it could leak through to the bambino. I went to bed dry, and woke up with a very soggy bottom, but no leaks.

I feel like a lioness with my pride

I went to Pride this year for the first time, over the years I’ve become more open about meeting people like me, I was always afraid of getting a hard time about my fashion sense or my eyebrows or something along those lines from other trans-girls. I also feel a sense of jealousy from the other trans-girls at local meetings, I’m usually the youngest and cutest by a decent margin but barely have my life together. I’ve met some great people, but I’ve been living as a girl for a long time without any hormones or medical treatment as opposed to some of the other girls who still live as men but have been on hormones for years. But recently I’ve broken past these barriers, and embrace any chance I get to meet and interact with other transgendered people, I feel like I’m actually part of a community, especially after Pride.

This was me before Pride, I was wearing these little girl Pull-Ups under a SlimLine Tranquility. I also had my schoolgirl shirt and my pumas with little lace socks 🙂

This is my lovely friend, this picture makes a good point about gender perception. If you are a heterosexual male, you would be “less gay” for sleeping with my masculine, handsome Female to Male friend than you would for sleeping with that cute little girl on the left. Funny how that works…

This picture just made me laugh… “like a gay neighbor state farm is there”

I had a good time and really felt like a part of something, not just a lonely girl playing dress-up everyday. I’m hoping to get to Pride SF this weekend, I want to re-capture the feeling of being a girl with no fear, no anxiety, and no hostility. Someday I hope to get more than 1 day out of the year to have that protection, but until then, Happy Pride!

Penny’s from heaven

I get tons of E-mail, and I’d have to say that a good chunk of it mentions that I don’t post enough. I feel kinda embarrassed by my material sometimes and I want to always show off my good side, I’ve been accused of being too critical of myself in the past. One person that I always have admired for her persistence in updating her diaper diary is Penny from PamperedPenny.com. Her posts are always the cutest, and she so open about her thoughts, wants and passions. I feel like such a amateur in her presence, respect and admiration is a key part in trusting and submitting yourself to someone.

Expect to see more and more of me soon, and I’ll be posting a Best Of Internet link list for all my favorite AB sites, so if you have a link you want me to take a look at, let me know!

these plastic sheets make my bed hot

It’s hot. Really hot. I’m finally realizing how awesome New England summers are, and I’ve always known how hellish California’s are. Granted, it’s beautiful here in California, and theres plenty of lakes and rivers and pools and cold drinks, but for those of us that generally have a little extra padding, summers can be impossible. So how do we survive being diapered during summer?

#1 – Always keep baby powder with you! Most any store sells those little $1.00 bottles of baby powder small enough to fit in your pocket, so keep that or a little baggy (not too little, or you might have to go through some field tests with the cops) with you everywhere, so if you come in from the sun you can just re-powder. I generally buy a big tub of Johnsons Baby Powder With Aloe, as seen in this eccentric review on Viewpoints, the Aloe and Vitamin E help protect skin and its the best baby powder I’ve found. It may be the best preventative solution, but it’s still mostly just cornstarch and doesn’t do much to heal once you already have a rash.

#2 – Obvious pun is obvious, but if you have to mess, try your best to make it to a restroom, even if you still mess in your diapers. in 90 degree weather, you have about 10 minutes to change out of a messy diaper before irritation starts, and the smell can clear a supermarket. A solution to this is using tons of A+D ointment and bodymints, but most cremes eventually melt off of your skin, making your diapers less absorbant and leaving your skin unprotected. Just find a restroom ASAP and make sure to completely clean up and get all the residue from the baby wipes off your skin, powder/creme up and re-diaper. Always sells something called “Always Clean” which can come in handy, and they make me feel pretty girly just to have them in my purse. I feel so bad for anyone who actually has bowel incontinence in this kind of weather!

#3 – I am a huge fan of crinkly plastic diapers, and have spoken out in the past about the negative trend of cloth backed diapers. I still don’t like them, but my distaste is completely not practical. If you go out into the sun with a plastic diaper on, its basically the same as wearing a plastic bag filled with towels. Some of the brands I avoid during hot weather are Tranquilty Briefs, Depends, Molicare, Bambino, Abri-Form X-Plus, Goodnites, all are plastic and hardly breathe. Tranquilites Briefs like the ATN and Slimline brief are unusable in summer, they basically just come apart at the seams after a couple hours of movement and their cloth pull-ups soak through the material pretty consistently. Bambinos are so bulky they get warmer faster than any other diaper, and sweat makes the padding bunch up. Luckily, brands like Tena, Attends, and certain Abri-Forms have plenty of alternatives for breathable briefs. I know its tough to get away from the crinkly softness, but breathable diapers will save you tons of trouble. Also, some diapers look cloth and breathable like goodnites, but are really just plastic with a cloth cover.

#4 – Completely shave your diaper area if you haven’t already, and do it everyday. It takes about 3 minutes and you get better at it every time you do it.

#5 – This ones for the bedwetters like me, I had to take my vinyl sheets off of my bed because my apartment has oven status, even late at night. It’s too hot for vinyl sheets or plastic panties and I’m drinking more water than ever, whats a little bedwetter to do? The best solution I’ve found, is before making your sheets, put a few incontinence bedpads in a strip where your waist usually lays. They still get hot and wont protect everything, but the cottony material breaths way better than vinyl or plastic and they won’t move around everywhere if you put them on your mattress before your sheets. Other than that, I’m saving up for a new mattress once it cools down, I had a couple accidents before I figured out the bed-pad thing.

#6 – Lets talk about a different type of pads… Tena makes a pad and pant system that I love for the summer. The pant is a very lightweight mesh and the super and night pads handle as much as most briefs. They’re easy to change they don’t make the tape noise in the bathroom and you don’t have to fear getting powder on the tapes. They fit both men and women fine and feel really comfy too 🙂

#7 – Even if you’ve followed all of these tips, there is still a chance you might get either a bad rash, or worse, a yeast infection. in the case of a rash, I recommend Desitin or A+D for the day, Desitin Overnight for overnight. Make sure you stay out of your diaper for at least a half-hour a day, even if that means pulling your diapers down to air out in the bathroom, trust me, your skin will thank you. For the yeast infection, there’s really only one solution, Miconazole, the key ingredient in things like Vagisil and Monistat. It kills yeast dead, and does it surprisingly quick. Keep some handy and if you have severe irritation, try some of this, I think you’ll be surprised how often simple irritation is really a fungal infection. ewww… gross.

I hope these tips help you have a more pleasant summer, I’ll leave you with one of my favorite things about summertime!

Tiny Toons – How I Spent My Summer Vacation

caught

Not sure if I ever mentioned this, but I worked at Tower Records/Video a few years ago… More on that later, it’s embarrassing diaper story time.

When I worked at Tower I had made friends with the dreadlocked Marley, a very open-minded, hip and horror-movie obsessed genetic girl that I used to always close with at Tower Video. After we all left Tower, the coffee shops, electronics and bartending jobs ended up filling up with Tower people, mostly out of pity and love for the Tower franchise. I lost touch with some of my good friends due to working all the time and traveling, but I’d run into one now and then, and sometimes when I least expected it.

This happened to me a few years ago, when I was open about being a girl, but never really liked to do things like shop in my own town, I was also worried about tons of people knowing that I wear diapers, only a single local friend knew at the time. Anyway, I was visiting a friend in Benicia California and decided to do a little shopping on my way back. On my way out she put me in a big bulky Abri-Form with lots of powder, I left feeling very girly after being “made-over” by my relatively clumsy but well-wishing friend. Cute was another good way to describe how I felt, I was wearing basically this, same skirt, different shirt. And yes, there is a diaper under that skirt, can you see it?

While I was driving I stopped at a wholesale market and found a Buffalo Exchange, one of my favorite high-fashion thrift stores. I walked inside and shopped around like any other girl, and even though I had wet a little bit in the car, I soaked my diapers in the store. I was thinking I would duck into the restroom for a quick change, until out of nowhere I hear…

“RILEY???”

I turn around and here she comes full-speed ahead and wraps her arms around me, I forget I’m wearing a diaper and give her a big hug, realizing moments after that there’s no way that with both of our tiny bodies together she had to have felt the diaper. When the hug has ceased we start talking about where we’ve been and what we’ve done but the entire time I can see her eyes kinda scanning my waist to try to figure out what that softness around my midsection was. After catching up for a second, one of Marley’s coworkers walked up with a question, and the second she got near me she perks up her nose and says “what smells like baby powder?”

Marley looked at me and smirked, and I knew I was caught. She went off to help her co-worker and I continued to shop, I had a very wet diaper and kinda walked/waddled to the clearance section right near the bathrooms, hoping I could catch someone to let me in. After picking out a skirt I felt a hand on my shoulder and a whisper in my ear saying “it’s you that smells like baby-powder, right?”

I felt so strange, she knew I was a girl, but not that I was a diapered girl. I responded with “yeah, the baby powder, it’s so hot outside” and she gave me a look like I wasn’t fooling anyone. I showed her the skirt I wanted to buy and we chatted for a couple more seconds, until I realized I really should go change, so I asked her if she could unlock the restroom. The second I said that she pulled out her keys, gave me a big smile and said “so you need a change?”

I gave up, gave a sheepish grin and said “yeah, I guess I do” and she smiled even bigger and unlocked the girls room for me. I went in and changed into the Molicare I brought with me and walked back out, bought the skirt and happily found her outside smoking with a co-worker. I said goodbye and we hugged, and as I walked away she did the nicest thing you can do to a diapered person, she patted my padded bottom.

Marley and I have since talked online, and she could be reading this at the same time you are. I have lots of little random stories like this, but this is one of my favorites because I didn’t leave embarrassed, I left feeling good about people. Hope you liked my little diaper experience, more to come soon 🙂
